We have managed over 15 companies as CEO or managing directors and have successfully led complex corporate restructuring as well as growth projects.
We invest in companies in special situations, i.e. carve-outs of large corporate business units or portfolio companies. We manage their separation and successful development as a independent profitable company with sustainable growth opportunities.
Our investment transactions are backed by selected institutional investors and private family offices.
Prior to founding Aurona Capital, Bernd was Managing Director of a private equity firm and responsible for large parts of the investment portfolio of companies. Prior, he worked as CEO or Managing Director for various companies, which he successfully managed from acquisition to exit. In an earlier assignment, Bernd was COO of a large listed investment firm, for which he also managed two successful corporate restructurings as operating CEO.
Before starting his career in private equity, Bernd gained experience working for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Initially, he started his professional career with various Sales & Marketing functions in the FMCG industry.
Bernd studied Business Administration at the ebs (European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel) and holds an additional MBA from Thunderbird School of International Management in Glendale, AZ (USA).
Until founding Aurona Capital, Phillip was Managing Director of a Munich based Private Equity firm. There he was CEO of three portfolio companies. In his last assignment, Phillip was CEO of Hakle GmbH in Düsseldorf, a carve-out from Kimberly Clark Corp., which he successfully managed until its sale to new investors early 2019.
Phillip also worked for two large listed investment firms, for which he acted as portfolio manager and CEO with international assignments.
Phillip started his professional career with a professional banking apprenticeship and studied business administration at the University of Trier and holds an additional MBA from Pfeiffer University at Charlotte, NC (USA).
